How we work

We use a proven, time-tested, 10 step, method to make sure your system is what you need, on-time and within the original budget.

1. Project needs are well defined by client. This will include 2-3 rounds of verification by us in complex projects. (Normally at least 50% of time used to finish the project)
2. Quote based on project needs: Includes time frames, exact costs, delivery terms and additional options
3. Alpha released to client showing example screens, reports and all interfaces (nonfunctional)
4. Beta released to client for preview (functional)
5. First round of changes
6. Beta 2 released to client for preview (fully functional)
7. Final round of changes
8. Final version released
9. Minor modifications permitted (no new processes, data fields, screens or reports)
10. Final documentation delivered with source code

You only pay after step ten. We allow 15 days for final verification and 15 days to process the payment for a total of 30 days. Full online technical support is included during this time.

Pricing

All jobs are priced based on the following criteria:

• How well-defined is the project?
• Complete analysis of project needs available?
• Multiple or single user?
• Single or remote physical locations?
• Overall complexity
• Number of Tables, Querys, Forms, Reports and Web pages
• Predicted final size of the database in gigabytes
• Needs for documentation, help files, and online user training

In other words, if you are a developer with a good understanding of your needs, the price will be lower.

If you're not a 'Computer Person', don't worry. We have the tools to help you design your project. Download the Project Planning Worksheet. This document will take you step-by-step over the non-technical process of defining your needs. This document turns into the blueprint for your new system, so take your time and describe your needs as clearly and inclusively as you can. The better the blueprint, the better the final product. This step is called 'Systems Analysis' and normally is 30% to 40% of the final cost when completed by outside consultants (another secret to our low cost). But even thought consultants produce the final analysis, you must spend many hours describing yours needs to them. So save some money and do it yourself! Keep in mind this task is not technical in nature and is better described in your terms, not those of a programmer. Full instructions are included.
